In 1962, a group of ten very committed women recognized a need for a fundraising group to help Morning Star Catholic in its efforts to educate children with special needs. Those ten women, with fundraising goals in mind, held their first Morning Star Catholic School Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon with a $2 ticket cost.
Hundreds of women have attended the fashion show and luncheon over the years at various locations. For many years’ fashions were provided by Jacobson’s and Jordan Marsh. Recent years have featured fashions from Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Winter Park boutiques including: Tuni, John Craig, Arabella, The Grove, The Collection Bridal and more.
Many very generous sponsors have supported this event over the years including longtime supporters Holm Family of Restaurant and the Martha Greene Lewis Charitable Fund.
This year’s event will be held in partnership with Loews Royal Pacific Resort on Friday, February 9th, 2024. Your sponsorship of A Runway for Giving, allows us to meet the growing needs of our school and supports the educational services that our special needs students require to succeed.
