Mr. John Gotheridge (Mr. G.) graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2018 with an interdisciplinary studies degree with specializations in psychology and philosophy while also obtaining a minor in education. John was very active with his faith in college and became a student leader with the campus ministry. In his spare time, John got a job helping with the summer camp and retreats at the San Pedro Center in Orlando.

Post graduation, John spent some time as a missionary intern for Saint Paul’s Outreach before landing a job working as a floating teacher’s assistant at the Mades Johnstone Center. There he worked with behavioral and emotional special needs students throughout the entire K-12 program, but primarily with the high schoolers and middle schoolers. John has spent a good deal of time working with intellectual special needs as, having a younger sister with Down Syndrome, he spent a large number of hours volunteering at a down syndrome awareness center named Gigi’s Playhouse.

In his free time, John currently loves to read and play games with his friends. To balance out the time being stationary, John prioritizes a good amount of time daily for working out and playing sports when possible. He enjoys spending time with his fiance and their overly friendly cat named Moose.

John is excited to be here at Morning Star and he can’t wait to see what has made so many people fall in love with it.
