Welcome and thank you for your interest in Morning Star Catholic School!
Our school is founded in Catholic tradition and committed to providing each student with special needs the opportunity to discover their gifts and achieve their personal best as children of God. All of our students have a diagnosed disability.
Before admission our staff MUST be notified of any existing behavior challenges and or plans that exist for the prospective student. Students considered for admission must be able to independently handle all their toileting and personal hygiene needs. If a student needs assistance in these areas it must be addressed and planned prior to admission.

While a student may look like a good fit on paper, this step lets families truly experience Morning Star’s atmosphere, structure, and community. It gives both your family and Morning Star staff the chance to see if this is a place where your child can thrive and feel at home. This step includes:
An on-campus tour
A minimum of two evaluated class visits, known as shadow days
-
If your child is accepted, parents are strongly encouraged to secure a scholarship from the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA), administered through Step Up For Students (SUFS). Your status should be considered as “Eligible” for the school year your child will be enrolled for.
If you require additional scholarships to support your child’s education, you can learn more on our scholarship page.
All newly accepted students will begin school on a 90-day trial basis. This allows additional time for us to determine if we will be able to successfully assist your child and meet their needs here at Morning Star Catholic School.

An education at Morning Star Catholic School is within reach for any family. We offer a variety of tuition assistance and scholarship programs to assist families in their desire to provide a Catholic education to their children.
Morning Star Catholic School is more than just a school, it’s a place that truly feels right for our son and family. The teachers and staff are caring and thoughtful, creating an environment where our son feels valued, accepted, and excited to go every day. He’s built meaningful friendships with his classmates, and the Best Buddies program with Bishop Moore has been such a gift; connecting him to an even wider, supportive community. Morning Star has helped our son’s confidence grow, and we feel incredibly grateful to be part of a school that nurtures not just learning, but also belonging.

Happy Students, Happy Parents
We’ve been at Morning Star for about four years now, and our daughter is truly thriving. We love the small, intimate setting—it feels safe, and the staff is incredibly caring. One of the things our daughter enjoys most is the opportunity to regularly connect with her peers at Bishop Moore. Those peer interactions are a big part of why she loves going to school each day.
