Grandparent's Day
Join us for a special Grandparent’s Day celebration!
Start the morning with snacks and a heartfelt presentation honoring our beloved grandparents.
We’ll then gather for Mass at noon.
We look forward to welcoming all grandparents and families for this joyful day!

Picture Retake Day
If your student missed the original Picture Day or needs a new photo, this is their chance. Be sure to bring your best smile!

Pet Blessing
Join us us as we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis with our annual Pet Blessing!
Families are welcome to bring their pets for a short blessing ceremony recognizing the special role animals play in our lives.
Please be sure pets are leashed, caged or safely secured.

Morning Star will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Morning Star will be on break for Thanksgiving from Monday, November 24 - Friday, November 28. Enjoy the holiday and we’ll see you back soon!

Advent Wreath Blessing
We will gather to bless the Advent wreath on Monday, December 1, symbolizing the anticipation and joy of the Christmas season.
All families are welcome to join in this beautiful tradition.

2:00 p.m. Dismissal/No After Care
Dismissal will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17 with no aftercare provided.

Noon Dismissal/No Aftercare
Friday, December 19 marks the end of our first semester. Students will be dismissed at noon, and no aftercare will be available.
Our Christmas vacation officially begins at dismissal time—enjoy the holiday break!

Morning Star is on break for the holidays from Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2. Wishing all our Comets a magical and restful Christmas season!

New Semester Begins
The holidays are over — school starts again on Monday, January 5! Get ready for new adventures and great times ahead.

No School - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school on Monday, January 19, 2026.
We encourage our community to reflect on his legacy of justice, equality, and service. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 20.




Fashion Show
Save the date for the 63rd Annual Morning Star Catholic School Fashion Show on Friday, February 13 at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.
Enjoy a luncheon, silent auction, and amazing fashion all while supporting Morning Star.

OCIA Mass
Join us for a special OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School. All are welcome as we gather in prayer and community to support those preparing to enter the Catholic Church.

Confirmation Mass
Join us as our students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
This beautiful and meaningful celebration marks an important step in their faith journey as they are sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Families and friends are welcome to attend this special Mass.

MSC May Crowning
Morning Star will hold our annual May Crowning on Friday, May 1. Students will gather for a special ceremony to honor the Blessed Mother with flowers, prayers, and songs.
Families are welcome to attend!


No School - Memorial Day
Morning Star will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

MSC Graduation
Save the date — Graduation is on Wednesday, May 27!

No School - Professional Development for Teachers
There will be no school for students on August 29 as our teachers participate in a professional development day.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 2.

School Picture Day
Say cheese, Comets! School Picture Day is Monday, August 18. Be sure to wear your best smile and follow any dress code guidelines.

First Week of School
Let’s start of the year right. Tuesday through Friday of our first week of school will all be 2:00 p.m. dismissals with aftercare available.

First Day of School
Backpacks ready? Smiles on? The first day of school is August 11, and we can’t wait to see our Comets shine! Make note that there is a noon dismissal for the first day of school. Aftercare is available if needed.

Meet the Teacher
