A Spooky Celebration: Halloween Fun at Morning Star, One of the Best Special Needs Schools in Orlando
At Morning Star Catholic School, we believe school should be a place where learning and fun go hand in hand. Halloween is the perfect time to bring that idea to life, and this year, our students, families, and staff had an absolute blast celebrating together.
Our annual Trunk-or-Treat transformed the campus into a colorful, festive adventure. Students explored creatively decorated trunks, collected treats, and shared laughs with friends and Best Buddies from our inclusive program with Bishop Moore Catholic High School. Costumes ranged from K-Pop Demon Hunters and Disney princesses to plague doctors and not-so-scary vampires, allowing each student to showcase their imagination and personality. The excitement and smiles throughout the event reminded us that school is not just about academics; it’s about joy, connection, and making memories that last.
Later that week, our school-wide Halloween costume party kept the fun going. Students traveled around campus, collecting candy everywhere they went! Moments like these help students practice rules and order in a fun environment, practice basic social skills, and ensure everyone gets all the sugar they need during this spooky season.
Halloween at Morning Star is about more than candy and costumes. It’s an opportunity for students to experience the pure joy of being themselves, surrounded by peers and staff who cheer them on. It’s a reminder that learning happens best when children feel happy, safe, and engaged. And, that fun can be a powerful part of the educational experience at special education schools in Orlando.
We’re proud to offer traditions like Trunk-or-Treat and our costume party that let students explore creativity, laughter, and friendship in a vibrant, inclusive setting. At Morning Star, every celebration is a chance to foster joy, community, and growth.
