Connecting Our Community: How Topgolf Brings Our Special Needs School in Orlando Together

At Morning Star Catholic School, we love creating opportunities for our students, families, staff, and members of our inclusive programs to connect beyond the classroom. Last Thursday, we came together for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and community at our Topgolf Spirit Night. The event was a wonderful reminder of the vibrant, supportive environment we work to foster as one of the leading special needs schools in Orlando.

Although the evening was casual, a simple meet-up at Topgolf with the added bonus of supporting the school, it offers students an important chance to practice social skills, teamwork, coordination, confidence, and friendship building. Attendees played alongside family members, community friends, and students from our Best Buddies program*, making it a fun and meaningful experience for everyone involved.

These moments of connection and growth reflect key components of our approach, where nurturing relationships and building life skills are just as important as academics. These shared experiences strengthen the sense of belonging that makes our school one of the best special needs schools in Orlando (at least in our opinion!).

We are grateful to every family and staff member who joined us!
